Musical Freedom Live Sets Free Give-Aways

Tiesto's Musical Freedom has set up a pretty interesting system to give Free Downloads of some great Live Sets from Miami 2012. They began at 70,000 FB Likes, and with every thousand Likes (From 70,000 to 75,000) MF will give away a different set from: Tommy Trash, Quintino, Bassjackers, Dada Life, Sandro Silva, and R3hab.

A-Trak & Diplo To Remix Michael Jackson "Bad"

EDM is no long going mainstream, it is already there. Pepsi has just announced that two of EDM's biggest producers - A-Trak and Diplo (it originally reported that Skrillex was going to be on the remix) will be remixing Michael Jackson's "Bad" in time for the album's 25th Anniversary later this month. The track will be distributed through a special Pepsi-can that will scan via cell-phone to hear the track.

We have some mixed feelings on this matter. While of course we are very happy society is fully embracing EDM and giving it the exposure it deserves, we cannot help but worry what huge money-hungry corporations will do to the dance culture that we know and love. It's yet to be seen where this is all going, but let's hope it changes for the better!

Quintino's latest remix of German duo Spencer & Hill's "Surrender". This mix has been floating around for a while, but Quintino just uploaded a preview on his SoundCloud. Quintino beefs up the drop a little more and adds some nice electro synths to the track. No info on the release yet, stay tuned.

Released Monday April 30th on Deadmau5's mau5trap Recordings is a new single from Moguai titled "Lyme (Moguai's Crushed Lyme Mix). This track is a bit more electro than we've seen from Moguai in the past, but we're definitely digging this electro-chill style. Very smooth track that's a great listen for any mood.

[Preview] SAVOY & Heather Bright - We Are The Sun (Manuel De La Mare Remix)

The ever talented Italian producer Manuel De la Mare is back again, with a preview of his newest remix which is set to be released on Spinnin' Records. Manuel tends to stray away from his normal tech-house sound on this track, bringing more of a progressive, big room sound to the remix. Although this is a bit unexpected from Manuel, his production skills are still clearly on display, and coupled with the uplifting vocals from Heather Bright, this track comes together really nicely. This remix of "We Are the Stars" is set to release on May 14th.

Just yesterday we posted a video of a Dutch Heineken commercial that featured the one and only Laidback Luke. It has just been confirmed by the man himself via Facebook that the song in that commercial is an upcoming single of his called "We Are The Stars" set to release on MixMash Records. As with most LBL productions, this track is high energy and blends Martel's vocals in perfectly. No other info on the track yet, so stay posted.

Tickets to high profile EDM shows these days have gone a bit out of control, with huge venues selling out in seconds many fans are shut out if they're not by a computer at a specific time. Carlsberg has decided to try to change that trend, as they are planning 2 parties that will not have tickets, and guests are expected to "earn" their entry.

Carlsberg is teaming up with Axwell for these not so secret - secret raves. From their Facebook page, Carlsberg will be sending out "missions" and fans who want to attend must carry out these missions and those with the best results will gain a +1 entry. Electric Daisy Carnival: EDMbiz

Insomniac has recently announced that they will be hosting an event in Las Vegas leading up to EDC called EDMbiz. The event will consist of a series of conferences that will host some of the leaders of every aspect in the EDM business. Some key panelist include executives from Insomniac, AM Only, and Atlantic Records just to name a few. The conference is meant to serve as a platform to build the business community. Sounds like a great event to learn if you're in the music business or aspire to be. EDMbiz run from June 5th - 7th and registration for this event will begin this Thursday May 3rd, and you can sign up at HERE, we have a feeling that this will sell out as well.
